John,
While my race to win re-election in PA-08 was called nearly a month ago, my opponent Jim Bognet has still refused to concede the race. He seems to be drawing inspiration from Donald Trump, who has dug his toes in and refused to accept the democratic results.
Donald Trump and Jim Bognet aren’t alone. According to PoliticsPA.com, Republicans in the competitive (but called) PA-07 and PA-17 races haven’t conceded either.
Sadly, this may mark a new normal in politics. And that’s why it’s so important that our campaign be prepared for anything Republicans may throw at us. Will you pitch in a donation today?

Ever since the election, Republicans in Washington and Harrisburg have worked furiously to try to sow doubt in the election and potentially even overturn the result.
This represents a new level of dirty politics that we have to be prepared for. As we enter the final month of 2020, I want to make sure we can replenish our campaign finances to be ready for any funny business Republicans try to pull. That’s why I’m asking you personally: Will you pitch in a $10, $25, or $50 donation to our campaign?
Thanks, and talk again soon,
— Matt
