John --
Good afternoon and welcome to our Weekend Update.
President Donald J. Trump was in Georgia last night attending a
campaign rally on behalf of U.S. Senators David Perdue and Kelly
Loeffler. These elections will determine who controls the majority in
the U.S. Senate. The election will take place on Tuesday, January 5.
There are ways to help.
First, if you would like to support the grassroots efforts in
Georgia from the comfort of your own home, you can participate in
phone banking. Click
here and submit your name, email, and phone number and an
NRSC representative will contact you to get you trained and started on
the phone banking app.
Additionally, I have made a personal donation and a donation from
our campaign fund of $35,000 to the Georgia Battleground Fund. If you
would like to donate further to these very important elections,

At the rally last night, President Trump spoke the truth. The
left thinks he's giving them hell, but he is giving them the truth...
they just think it's hell. The President talked about America First,
Country First, Family First. All important. Unfortunately, the left
and China are against the America First agenda. I stand with President
Trump and will always support an America First agenda.
President Donald Trump discussed the countless election issues we
have seen in multiple states, especially the things we witnessed in
Pennsylvania. The unfortunate legacy of this past election is
the unlawful and suppressive actions taken... Things we typically read
about in corrupt countries. I support the President in
his efforts to expose election corruption. Many voters in
Pennsylvania are angered and concerned about the irregularities that
occurred in the past election. There are valid reasons for the
distrust they feel, rooted in the numerous election processes and
procedural changes enacted outside of statute.
Including, but
not limited to:
- Allowing ballots to be received up to three days past the deadline
of 8 pm on Election Day.
- Counting defective mail-in ballots.
- Prohibiting Republican poll workers from observing the
pre-canvassing and canvassing process.
- Not confirming that signatures on the back of the mail-in ballot
match the signature on record.
Every illegal or improperly counted ballot cancels out the vote of
a legal citizen. One thing is clear: we need tighter election security
to protect legal votes. Click

in the Reading Eagle.
There are currently a number of lawsuits working their way through
the court system, including a lawsuit filed by U.S. Congressman Mike
Kelly that is headed to the U.S. Supreme Court. There are still issues
working their way through the judicial system about the November
election and we will keep you updated on those cases.
This week, we were in Washington, D.C., as Congress debated a
much-needed coronavirus relief package that targets actual needs…
funding for small businesses, schools, vaccine distribution and
support for those families who need support during these difficult
times.
I spoke to Fox Business’s “After the Bell” about the proposed
coronavirus relief package. Click
here or below to watch.
This relief should have been delivered to the American people
earlier. Unfortunately, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the House Democratic
Leadership chose politics rather than help Americans suffering from
the economic fallout caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As we are working in Congress to get more support for
Pennsylvanians suffering from the pandemic, I am concerned that the
Commonwealth has not utilized all of the available resources the
Federal government provided them earlier this year. To that end, I
sent a letter to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of
Health Rachel Levine, asking whether the Commonwealth is utilizing all
available federal resources to expand testing capacity and help our
healthcare system mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The Federal
government sent $301 million to April for the Covid-19 response
effort; however, the Health and Human Services Department indicates
that Pennsylvania has spent only $2.4 million of the funding. The
Commonwealth contends that they have spent or plan to spend more of
the resources. The question is, why haven't these resources been
utilized yet.
Many of our hospitals and caregivers will soon require additional
resources to combat the surge of cases we are currently experiencing.
ABC WHTM-27 in Harrisburg did a news report on my letter and
this issue. Click

Our District is home to many of Pennsylvanians greatest people,
families, businesses, schools and high school sports teams. I spoke on
the floor of the U.S. House to congratulate North Schuylkill, Palmyra,
Columbia, Bloomsburg, Lake Lehman and all schools in our District on a
successful fall sports season. We are proud of all of our
student-athletes, families and school districts for helping to ensure
a successful fall sports season.
Last weekend, like many Pennsylvanians, my son Danny and I
went out hunting in Dallas. Typically, my son has all the luck, but
this year it was my turn. I got a nice 8-pointer. (Pictured
below) Great time and I want to wish all of Pennsylvania's
hunters the best of luck.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.
