Ever heard the saying “hindsight is 20/20”?
None of us could have expected a year quite like this one. As we head into 2021, I wanted to take a moment to share how incredibly proud and appreciative I am of how our teams across the country have adapted to keep stepping up our work to keep Canada moving forward, in so many innovative and virtual new ways.
Throughout 2020, we’ve hosted seven Virtual Weekends of Action to stay connected with Canadians in every part of the country (with volunteers having made nearly a million calls, and counting). We ran two successful by-election campaigns in Toronto Centre and York Centre to elect Marci Ien and Ya’ara Saks to the House of Commons as our two newest Liberal MPs.
We’ve also found new and innovative ways to connect with even more Canadians online, with a series of first-ever grassroots virtual fundraisers and open online town halls with guests like Justin Trudeau, Chrystia Freeland, and Liberal MPs all across Canada.
There’s a lot more of this kind of hope and hard work to look forward to in the coming months, friend. Especially in a minority Parliament, we know we can never take our progress for granted – and it’s your support that makes it possible to keep Canada moving forward.
