People For Member,
It’s hard to imagine that Trump’s team could sink any lower, and yet they
consistently do
This past Monday, Trump lawyer Joseph diGenova went on a conservative talk
show and, in talking about the fake claims of election fraud that Trump’s
team has been pushing for the past month, said that former director of the
Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, Christopher Krebs,
“should be drawn and quartered. Taken out at dawn and shot.”
This is outrageous.

Counsel investigate and reprimand diGenova for his call to violence. >>
We cannot let this lie. It is unacceptable for anyone to make threats of
violence against another person, but for an attorney representing the
President to make such threats is especially appalling. Even the former
White House Communications Director, Alyssa Farah, said that diGenova’s
“statement was wildly inappropriate.”^1
On December 1, U.S. Representatives Kathleen Rice (D-NY) and Ted Lieu
(D-CA) co-authored a letter to the Office of Disciplinary Counsel,
explaining that diGenova has violated at least three of the DC Bar’s Rules
of Professional Conduct and calling for an investigation. “If a lawyer
licensed in the District of Columbia can,” the letter says, “while
speaking in a representative capacity – publicly call for the death of his
client's perceived adversaries without consequences, the Counsel has
abjectly failed in its duty.”^2
Serving as a counsel to Trump gives an attorney a platform of significant
public influence, and he needs to experience the consequences of his
troubling behavior.

diGenovia for his unacceptable threat of violence against Christopher
Krebs! >>
Election officials have been pleading with Trump to condemn the violent
rhetoric that has been repeatedly aimed at them by his supporters,
campaign, and lawyers in the aftermath of the election. Since he has shown
no willingness to do so, it’s crucial for a venerable institution like the
DC Bar to take decisive action.
