Dear John, Thank you for joining a movement of teachers, parents, business leaders, and chefs who are working together to make sure that no child has too little to eat. I hope you'll watch this short video I made to welcome you.

Together, all of us at No Kid Hungry are working to:   Make sure schools get the things they need to make breakfast a part of the school day, and serve afterschool meals. Ensure that summer meal sites can feed more kids. Pressure lawmakers to pass legislation that feeds children. Support cutting edge research to show how to better reach hungry kids with food. Teach families how to purchase and prepare healthy food on a budget.

Thanks to warm-hearted people like you, since we started our work seven years ago we’ve helped provide more than 775 million meals to children in need. That’s just a down payment on our moral obligation to kids, but it’s a good start. And I am happy to report that childhood hunger is on the decline. But our work is far from over, and your support could not come at a better time. I truly believe we will reach the day when no kid in America is hungry.
