Folks,

Since 2016, President Trump and members of his administration have run roughshod over both the letter and the spirit of our laws.

And while Election Day is now behind us, we must stay vigilant to ensure that the Trump administration is held accountable until his very last day in the White House.

But multiple White House officials -- and members of the President's family -- have reportedly been conducting official business through undocumented, non-official channels. And many more are illegally blocking the release of thousands of documents that directly pertain to their work for the United States government.

Now Sean is using his platform to send a warning to Trump officials who may be tempted to cover the tracks of this administration and destroy evidence of wrongdoing as he leaves office. We need 3,000 signers to join him in saying that the American people are watching and that all federal records must be preserved according to law!

Preserving records is crucial to our democracy and a peaceful transition of power. It's vital that our government has a complete record of what happened during the Trump administration so that we can walk into conversations with our allies and adversaries with eyes wide open.

That's why Congress passed the Federal Records Act of 1950 and the Presidential Records Act of 1978 to ensure that all documents pertaining to the official duties of the president, vice president, and federal agencies are retained and preserved.

Both laws serve and protect the public -- the ones to which those documents belong.

Our republic is still standing because of the millions who stood up for what was right and marched, organized, and voted to restore decency and lawfulness to the White House. But our work is not over -- will you stand with Sean today to call for the full enforcement of the Presidential and Federal Records Act?
