John,
The current state of the country is tense. Turn on the news on any given day and you’ll see the pain of a highly contested election and the continuous trauma from the pandemic weighing heavily on our communities. Our country is still picking up the pieces, and the path to healing can sometimes feel out of reach.
We're all in need of redemption this year. We need to come together to address our shared pain and get back on track to restore our vision of the America we've been dreaming of. That’s why we want to invite you to join us on December 9th at 6pm ET / 3pm PT for a Day of Redemption—a powerful event focused on conversations of restorative justice, redemption, and finding common ground.

Redemption is where America's new chapter begins. At our Day of Redemption, we'll bring together unlikely allies. There'll be leaders across movements, currently incarcerated individuals, and the Dream Corps #cut50 Empathy Network in the spirit of reconciliation to heal the hurt, focus on common ground and solutions, and begin building a country that rises to the great expectations to which it was created centuries ago.
In Van Jones' docuseries "The Redemption Project," the most painful moments of people's lives shine a light on the journey of reconciliation and the power of second chances to change lives. A Day of Redemption is centered on these stories and the truth that we can be rescued from our partisan loyalties and our deep distrust of each other as long as we are willing to put in the work and have some tough conversations.
It's time we stopped looking to our politicians to unite us and started looking at ourselves to heal from the inside out. It is time to understand that our bitter politics reflect where we are as a country – but not the boundaries of what we can dream as a people.
We look forward to you joining us for our Day of Redemption on December 9th. Click here to sign up today and join us as we reconcile the hurt, pain, despair, and tragedy of the last four years in hopes of truly forming a more perfect union.
