Call on Saudi Arabia to release women's rights activist Nassima al-Sada
immediately. | View in browser [[link removed]] .

[[link removed]]Dear John,

Nassima al-Sada advocated for women in Saudi Arabia to have the right to drive,
and she won.

But in July 2018—one month after women in Saudi Arabia were allowed to
drive—Nassima was arrested. She spent the first year of her imprisonment without
being charged or brought to trial, and for a full year she was held in solitary
confinement.

Demanding equality for women isn't a crime. Call on Saudi authorities to free Nassima immediately.

Nassima is one of 10 cases featured in this year’s Write for Rights campaign , Amnesty International’s biggest global day of action, in which people like
you around the world send millions of letters, emails, petitions and solidarity
messages together to demand justice.

Nassima needs your solidarity and action now more than ever. At last month's G20 Leader’s Summit, not a single G20 member, including Canada , had the courage to advocate for the release of Nassima and other women’s
rights activists who have been criminalized in the Kingdom.

Nassima courageously and peacefully advocated for the right to drive, for the
right to make decisions about her life without needing the permission of a male
relative, and for the right to be equal to her male peers.

Please send a message now to show your support for Nassima and other activists
who have been attacked, harassed and imprisoned.

Together, let’s model her courage and determination by helping to convince Saudi
officials to release her. Your words and your actions, like Nassima’s, have
power.

Yours in solidarity,

Jackie

P.S. Nassima has dedicated much of her life to defending women's rights. Now we
have a chance to defend her rights. Please call on Saudi authorities to free Nassima immediately.
