- Praise God for the rescue of 12-year-old Addo* in Ghana who was forced to work in the fishing industry

most of his life . He is happy to be off the lake and has told IJM staff that he wants to go to school. Pray for his wellbeing and recovery as he begins his life in freedom.
Latin America
- Give thanks for the dedication and courage of one of our implementing partners in El Salvador as they continue to support vulnerable women. They have provided micro loans for many years, but they realized that in many cases, those micro loans had a very limited impact if the women they supported were not protected and their abusive partners or even other criminals took the profits away from them. Through our partnership, we are working toward creating sustainable change for these women so they can be protected by a strong public justice system and live in freedom to use those micro loans to thrive. Pray for God's blessing over this partnership and continued hope for their staff and the women they serve.
South Asia
- Please pray for many open court cases that will be delayed due to COVID-19 and the end-of-year slowdown. It is always harder to get hearings to move forward in December as officials begin taking holidays, and this year will be even slower due to the pandemic. Please pray for God's favor over IJM's cases that are currently in trial, so that the survivors we serve can feel protected and see justice happen quickly.
Southeast Asia

Last month IJM launched the Center to End Online Sexual Exploitation of children which will use the proven Philippine model of combating the livestreaming of child sexual abuse and exploitation in order to strengthen the global response against this crime. Pray for the success of these efforts by governments around the world, to act quickly to counter the growing global demand for child sexual abuse materials online. IJM HQ & Global Partners

- Pray for deep rest and renewal during prayer retreats for staff around the world. One of our spiritual disciplines as an organization is to regularly lay down our work and spend a full day in prayer in our different regions, knowing that the work to end slavery is only possible with God. As we close out an extraordinary year and spend time reflecting on personal and corporate circumstances of unexpected grief and joy, please pray that our staff would be able to lay aside distractions and draw near to God.
