In a desperate attempt by Republicans to retain control of the Senate, Trump is flying down to Georgia TODAY to hold a campaign rally for Senators Perdue and Loeffler in their bid for reelection in Georgia’s runoff next month. Trump’s support for two of his most loyal supporters in Congress doesn’t come as much of a surprise as Republicans throw all they can into preserving their Senate majority.

Just last night Vice President Mike Pence also made a campaign stop as Republicans try to shore up votes ahead of the runoff, even as their own base continues believing Trump’s lies about election fraud in the state – with some worrying it might depress voter turnout next month.
As Trump continues attacking the election results as fraudulent and the election as "rigged," some of his most ardent supporters are waffling on whether they see much benefit in voting. But as Republicans prepare to invest hundreds of millions in campaign spending throughout the next month, we expect to see voters on both sides of the aisle showing up in droves to determine the fate of the Senate and with it, the nation.
Trump and Pence are just two of many notable Republicans who have shown up to support Loeffler and Perdue. Senators Marco Rubio, Rick Scott, Tom Cotton, Josh Hawley, Ted Cruz, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley have either already made stops to the peach state or are scheduled to as it becomes the Republican Party’s last chance at stopping Democrats from advancing a progressive agenda in 2021.
