New polling out of Georgia puts Democrats ahead in two crucial U.S. Senate runoff elections. But let’s not get cocky. Last month Democrats lost Senate races in Maine and North Carolina after leading in the polls for weeks leading up to Election Day.
With one month until Election Day, we need to Get Out the Vote for Rev. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. And this is the last weekend before Monday’s voter registration deadline!

A Democratic-controlled Senate couldn’t be more important in 2021. Joe Biden was elected with a promise to protect and expand Social Security. And, in the midst of a pandemic, we must expand Medicare as well to ensure everyone has access to health care.
But we’ve seen the damage that Mitch McConnell and Republicans can do when they control the agenda. They’ll not only block our progressive agenda for seniors, working people and people of color, but they’ll be a roadblock to Joe Biden’s cabinet appointees and federal judge nominations.
Georgia showed in November that it’s ready to be a blue state. Republicans are in disarray following Trump’s defeat and progressives are better-organized than ever before, turning out voting demographics that were key to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris’s victory.
