Just a few months ago, Ohio Consumers Power Alliance and Ohio
Citizen Action launched a campaign encouraging Ohioans to
demand Governor Mike DeWine remove Public Utilities Commission of Ohio
(PUCO) Chair Sam Randazzo. We spoke out against his appointment in
February 2019, due to his hostility toward renewable energy and
conflicts of interest.
Now, after the FBI raided his house and a FirstEnergy
quarterly Securities and Exchange Commission filing revealed a very
suspect $4 million payment to his company, Mr. Randazzo
resigned.
Now is our chance for real change at the
PUCO
The PUCO Nominating Council meets
December 21 to recommend a new commissioner to replace Sam
Randazzo.
Governor DeWine must protect
utility customers from the influence of investor-owned utilities in a
meaningful and permanent way by selecting a PUCO commissioner who puts
the public's interests first.
We want to post this billboard
on I-70 so the governor sees it on his way to work every
day.
And as usual, we don't just need your financial
support, we need your voice too.
Even after our victory in removing Randazzo, we still
have a lot of work to do. Please chip
in to join us in the fight.
Thank you most sincerely,
Ohio

P.S. Please sign up to attend the Ohio Public Utility Corruption Town
Hall Thursday, December 10, 4:30 - 6:00p.m. Share
your priorities and vision for a new PUCO commissioner. Together,
we'll lay out concrete action steps to make this vision a
reality.
