John -- President-elect Biden pledged to form the most diverse cabinet in American history, one that truly reflects the makeup of the American people.

As appointments are already being made, progressive lawmakers are pushing for a more equitable and diverse administration. Why? Because Biden’s appointments are similar to prior administrations and rife with ties to corporate lobbyists and policies that uphold a status quo that affects marginalized communities. 

We can’t go backwards.  

Defeating Donald Trump didn’t happen in a vacuum. Progressive activists and communities of color were the backbone of the 2020 election, organizing and voting in historic and unprecedented numbers. 

President-elect Biden owes the people of this country a cabinet that not only looks like us, but shares our values.
