I have good news:
My legal team and I won our 37th case against the Trump administration.
We successfully co-led this lawsuit which blocked President Trump’s unlawful “public charge” rule from affecting Washingtonians. White House senior advisor Stephen Miller helped create this so-called “public charge” rule. This policy applies to lawful immigrants who are seeking federal benefits that they are legally entitled to, like Medicaid, food stamps, and housing vouchers. This rule affects immigrants seeking assistance by threatening their immigration status and ability to apply for permanent residency.
President Trump’s policy would have caused an estimated 140,000 Washingtonians, including children, to lose their health insurance — just as the COVID-19 pandemic surges again.
Blocking this cruel, unlawful policy in Washington stands as another major legal victory against the Trump administration.
If we did not file our lawsuit, this illegal policy would continue to hurt Washington families. Unfortunately, the rule remains in effect in the 29 states that did not challenge the policy.
I will continue to fight President Trump’s legacy in court until we are able to undo his unlawful actions.
Washingtonians can count on that.
Thank you,
Bob
Starting December 12th — just over a week from now — Washington state law requires a mandatory “freeze” on all fundraising for state officials like Bob. This freeze begins one month before the state legislative session begins and lasts as long as the legislature is in session. As a result, this fundraising freeze can last for six months. In other words, Bob cannot accept campaign contributions after midnight on December 11, 2020 (that means if you send a check, we must send it back!).
Will you support Bob’s campaign by making a contribution right now?
