Hi John,

Thousands of us are out on the streets demanding action on the Climate Crisis. If you can’t join us in person, why not join us online? We are filming the Global Climate Strike live right now from a few locations, so you can get a feel of what’s happening around the UK.

We’ve reached breaking point - we need leaders around the world and at home to see that people are rising up for our planet. The time for waiting is over. Let’s show them.

John, will you watch and share live? We want as many people to join us as possible, on and offline, so that we can show this government that people can’t look away from this crisis.

We can get out of this crisis but we need to work together and this government needs to pull its weight. Here’s where ministers could start:

  1. Declare a climate emergency and implement a Green New Deal to achieve climate justice
  2. Reform the national curriculum to address the ecological crisis as an educational priority
  3. Communicate the severity of the ecological crisis and the necessity to act now to the general public

These are the demands of student strikers from the UK Student Climate Network, if you want to dig a little deeper we’ve got loads more info here.

In the meantime it would be great if you could join us in spirit. Watch the live stream and share it on social media. Our leaders need to see that people are seriously concerned about this crisis.

This is just the beginning, people of all ages have had enough. It’s time for us to rise up and change the course of history.

Let’s do this,

Dikson
