Hi John, It's clear from our discussion with Bay Area Transit leaders last night that the future of transit is in our hands. Public transit is necessary for our economic and community recovery. It supports access to opportunity, increases equity, and provides the foundation for a more sustainable region. But right now public transit is in trouble. If we don’t secure additional federal and local transit funding, Muni will be forced to lay off over 1,200 workers and cut service by 30% in the coming years. With your help, together we can mobilize the public will to not only save transit but have it emerge as the cornerstone of a more sustainable, equitable future. |

In 2021, your donation will allow us to: - Convert temporary transit-only lanes into permanent red lanes, moving us closer to our 30x30 vision of a rapid transit network
- Expand our outreach to more high schools in San Francisco, empowering students on how to use transit and speak up for better service
- Save Muni from disastrous cuts by engaging communities across the city to advocate for emergency federal and local transit funding

Your support will be the difference between the recovery and disintegration of transit in the coming year. We need everyone on board to demand our politicians take action and secure needed transit funding. Thank you for supporting San Francisco Transit Riders and a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous future. Sincerely, Mark Cordes Executive Director |
