Hey John,
Earlier this year, 16-year-old climate activist Greta Thunberg and 46 other youth activists issued a call to everyone around the globe to join them in a massive climate strike on September 20th, to kick off a week of climate action called the Global Climate Strike. Youth strikers are calling on everyone, of all ages, to join a massive climate strike on September 20th.
OLCV staff including myself will be participating in climate strike events today in Portland (more info: [link removed]) and Bend (more info: [link removed]) Click here to find an event near you: [link removed] At 23 years old, I am the youngest member of the OLCV staff and my climate fate will be sealed by the time I am 33. I'm taking over the OLCV social media accounts today to bring you all with me on my journey through the climate strike. Follow along on Facebook [link removed], Twitter [link removed], and Instagram [link removed].
In the fight for Clean Energy Jobs, youth continue to be some of the most vocal supporters of climate action. Oregon’s young people know that their future health and happiness depends on the actions that we take today.
If you aren’t able to join the strike, there are other ways you can help! Make a donation to OLCV today and we’ll put it to good use supporting our new Young Leaders for Climate Action program. We launched this program over the summer to train and engage Oregon’s next generation of climate leaders.

We only have 11 years left to avoid the worst impacts of climate change. Oregon's youth, including me, are depending on climate action now. Can I count on you to help?
Sincerely,
Marquis Mason, OLCV Engagement Organizer

Staying in touch via the Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ email list is the best way we have of keeping in regular contact with supporters like you and letting you know about the ways you can take action to protect the environment. You can [link removed] from our supporter list, but if you leave, it will be harder for you to stay involved with OLCV and continue the work that you’ve been such a critical part of. OLCV wins environmental policy fights and elections because of dedicated activists like you, and we’d hate to see you go.
