Building No Kill Communities!
FOSTER
Dear John,

Around this time of year we like to share stories of how your support impacts the lives of thousands of homeless animals and the families who adopt them. What better way to spread some holiday cheer than with a poem about a kitten? Apologies in advance to Clement Clarke Moore and “A Night Before Christmas!” So, without further ado:
‘Twas the holiday season when the kittens at PAWS
Curled up in their mittens, from their tails to their claws.

Just take it from Bali and his tiny toes
That it’s the perfect kitten coat when in Chicago it snows!

Bali was just one month old when he arrived in our care
All the way from Louisiana (we hear it’s pretty warm there).

But something tells us, with his fluffy gray fur
He’ll be just fine in this city when winter says “brrrrr!”

Bali’s stay at our Medical Center is coming to a close
And as cute as he is, there's something we know:

A home’s in his future, with a family and love
For this tiny, brave kitten who curls up in a glove.

We know this year's different and can feel a bit dark
But we’re here to spread joy with every meow and each bark.

So from Bali, the staff, the pets and their claws
We're here to say Happy Holidays to you all - from PAWS!
