Yes, we’re celebrating.

We are basking in the victory of community safety over gun violence because yesterday a major gun manufacturer – Colt – announced it will stop making the AR-15 assault rifle for the consumer market.

This is a huge success for us, and supports our goal to get weapons of war off of our streets.

But, we want you to know that after a bit of basking, we’re going right back to work.

Right now you can help us move forward towards our next victory.

Our grassroots state violence prevention leaders can’t bask too long because they know the job isn’t done with just one win.

Your donation today will support our state leaders as they continue to make change happen to make us safer. Examples of their ongoing work include:

• Community-based outreach and violence intervention programs, especially for youth.
• Passing common sense legislation to protect our families and communities.
• Fighting against the dangerous incursions of the gun lobby into our state houses and therefore into our communities, places of worship, schools, and homes.
