Yesterday afternoon my campaign formally initiated the process to begin a discovery recount. We are seeking a discovery recount in each of the seven counties within the 14th Congressional District.

As I have promised you since day one, we are fighting hard to make sure that every legal vote is counted in this critical race – but we can’t do it without your help. Can I count on your continued support in this race?

Remember: A discovery recount does not change a single vote, but it does allow us to see if the outcome might change with a full recount.

Election law provides campaigns the ability to request a discovery recount in close elections. As we have said for the last few weeks, we would be seeking a discovery recount and the first of these recounts have been formally filed in DuPage County. We will be filing paperwork in the other counties in the coming days.
