This year, Social Security Works’ member-supported PAC accomplished some incredible things:

• We raised more than $125,000 directly to candidates who were running on Social Security expansion in critical races.
• SSW PAC President Jon “Bowzer” Bauman hosted more than 100 virtual campaign events.
• We organized phone banks that generated thousands of calls into critical swing states.

And we didn’t let up our vigilance as Donald Trump threatened Social Security’s dedicated funding. He signed an executive order defunding Social Security, but our public education efforts made sure that most workers and businesses realized it was a bad deal, and continued paying into Social Security.

Donald Trump will only be President for 20 days in 2021. But Mitch McConnell will still be in the Senate, and he won’t stop trying to destroy Social Security and Medicare.
