Tarrant County Judge To Carroll ISD: LGBT Plan “Must Cease”

This week, a Tarrant County judge granted an emergency order ruling that DFW-area school district, Carroll ISD, likely violated the Texas Open Meetings Act (TOMA) by assembling a quorum and conducting secret deliberations contrary to TOMA notice provisions to advance the controversial and divisive Cultural Competence Action Plan which promotes radical LGBT agendas and policies in public schools.

Texas Values helped lead the effort against the actions of Carroll ISD’s board starting in July of this year. Texas Values team members presented testimony back in August on how the plan threatened the religious liberty of students who hold Christian values, and filed an open records request for information on board activities. This court order confirms the lack of transparency by Carroll ISD that has broken the trust of so many parents.

Bryan English Joins Texas Values as Director of Church Ambassador Network

Texas Values is pleased to announce the addition of Bryan English to the ministry team as the Director of our statewide Church Ambassador Network. Bryan comes to Texas Values with a background that includes pastoral ministry, non-profit work, and campaign experience. In addition to serving as an associate pastor, Bryan was previously on staff with the Iowa Family Policy Council (now the Family Leader,) and has worked local, state level, and federal campaigns. Most recently, he worked for U.S. Senator Ted Cruz on both the 2016 Presidential campaign and his 2018 Senate re-election campaign.

The mission of the Church Ambassador Network is to build a relationship between the shepherds of God’s Church and God’s government as portrayed in the Scriptures. It is a relationship between institutions, not just individual local churches. Throughout history the shepherds of God’s institution of the Church have served as a moral compass and guide to the nations. It is our goal to have pastors and congregations engage government in a way that honors God and is effective under all forms of government, regardless of when and where.
