As Counsel to the Mayor in City Hall, Maya delivered for New Yorkers on some of the biggest issues facing the city, from defending civil rights and boosting minority and women-owned businesses to expanding broadband access to New Yorkers throughout the city.

After her time in City Hall, Maya chaired the Civilian Complaint Review Board, where she worked to hold police accountable to the people of New York.
