As Trump continues waging his scorched earth campaign to overturn the results of the November election, Georgia’s Republican Senators Perdue and Loeffler – both in neck-and-neck runoff races to keep their seats – have refused to distance themselves from Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric attacking state election officials (who also happen to be Republicans).

Senators Perdue and Loeffler’s dangerous complicity in choosing not to condemn Trump’s rhetoric underscores just how urgent it is to ensure that we defeat them in the runoff election.

We need to raise another $37,291 in the next 36 hours for the Georgia Runoff Fund to END Perdue and Loeffler’s Senate careers. All donations 3X-MATCHED!

Rush an emergency TRIPLE-MATCHED donation to our Georgia Runoff Fund and it will be put to work immediately on our voter outreach programs in the state>>

As it has in the past, Trump’s violent rhetoric has given rise to some very real threats of violence.

Earlier this week, Georgia voting systems manager, Gabriel Sterling (a Republican), didn’t mince words when he lashed out at Trump for his ongoing attacks on the election in Georgia, stating:1

“Mr. President, you have not condemned these actions or this language. Senators, you have not condemned this language or these actions. This has to stop. We need you to step up – and if you’re going to take a position of leadership, show some. […] Someone’s gonna get hurt, someone’s going to get shot, someone’s going to get killed. It’s time to look forward. If you want to run for re-election in four years, fine, do it. But everything we’re seeing right now, there’s not a path.”

Sterling’s strong warning follows ongoing threats of violence against workers connected to the Georgia election, including protestors showing up at Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensberger’s house (threats of sexual violence also directed at his wife), a noose calling for the execution of an election contractor, and one of Trump’s lawyers calling for a former national election security chief to be “taken out and shot.”2

NONE of this has been condemned by Senators Loeffler and Perdue. Why? Because they’re worried it will hurt their reelection chances.

The dangerous complicity of two sitting U.S. Senators must be held to account.

Chip in now and your impact will be TRIPLED to unseat Loeffler and Perdue and replace them with two candidates who are willing to stand up for free and fair elections: Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock>>

Violent rhetoric from the Trump administration is something we’ve unfortunately become accustomed to, but we should always speak out against it and hold those accountable who are unwilling to do so.

Thank you for standing with us in this fight.
