Following Indiana's Lead
 
Here at home, Indiana Republicans won big last month.

We were first on the board for President Trump and Vice President Pence. We earned the largest vote total EVER in a governor's race for Governor Holcomb. We cleared the board for Attorney General-elect Todd Roktia and Congresswoman-elect Victoria Spartz. We reelected our entire Republican congressional delegation. We expanded our supermajority in the Indiana House, we had historic wins at the county level, and so, so much more.

But as you might have seen in a few emails from us this week, it’s more important than ever to make sure that Republicans also maintain control of the U.S. Senate. The direction of our nation – and definitely Indiana’s, too – depend upon it.

And that's why as Indiana Republicans, we're proud to be supporting Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler in the runoff election in Georgia in January.

It's critical that Georgia follows Indiana's lead in electing principled, hardworking conservatives to Congress to fight the liberal machine and their radical agenda. Here are two ways Hoosiers can help the cause in Georgia:
Thank you for all of your work here in Indiana this year. Now, let’s all work to make sure that nationally we maintain the Senate, too!

Governor Holcomb's Week That Was

COVID-19 Update

On Wednesday, Governor Holcomb provided an update on our state's fight against the coronavirus. With colder weather arriving and the holiday season beginning, it is more important than ever to practice safe social distancing to keep our fellow Hoosiers safe. That also means wearing a mask and making sure you wash your hands to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus. To watch Governor Holcomb's full update, click here.

To view the updated county-by-county, color coded map of COVID-19 cases in Indiana, click here. Currently Indiana has 16 counties in red, one in yellow and the rest in orange. 

The CDC has also released new quarantine guidelines for those who have been exposed to COVID-19, including options and procedures for shorter quarantines. To view those guidelines, click here.

As many Hoosiers know, we have around 800 members of the Indiana National Guard deployed throughout the state assisting at long term care facilities. Tune in at around the 18:50 mark in the governor's update for a great conversation with a a staff sergeant in the Indiana National Guard and nurse who is currently helping out at a long term care facility in Southern Indiana. Global Business Picks Indiana for Global
Headquarters, Long-Term Growth

Big news today! The world's second-largest independent animal health company in the world, Elanco Animal Health, announced that it has selected Indiana - out of a world of options - as its global headquarters following its acquisition of Bayer Animal Health in 2018.

This means Elanco will be retaining 1,600 Hoosier workers across its corporate and manufacturing operations statewide - including in Clinton, Indianapolis and Terre Haute. In addition, Elanco will create about 575 new, highly-skilled, high-wage jobs to support its global headquarters and R&D activity.

The new global headquarters will invest more than $300 million into 45 acres of the former GM stamping plant industrial site on Indianapolis' near westside, which has sat vacant since 2011. This will transform the site into a walkable, mixed-use space that expands the boundaries of downtown Indianapolis across the White River and expands White River State Park. 

"It is a momentous day for the state of Indiana as we celebrate Elanco’s decision to establish its global headquarters in central Indiana, positioning itself for future growth and consolidation in the Hoosier state and creating hundreds of high-paying jobs for Hoosiers," said Governor Eric Holcomb.

Attorney General-Elect Rokita Announces Transition Team
 

Indiana Attorney General-elect Todd Rokita has assembled a great group of legal professionals and public servants to lead his transition team as he prepares to become our next attorney general in January. 

"I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of support for our campaign, and I again want to thank my fellow Hoosiers for the trust and confidence placed in me to serve as your next Attorney General,” Rokita said.

Todd Rokita has named veteran attorney Brent C. Embrey as chairman of the transition team and former IU Health President and CEO Daniel F. Evans, Jr. as chairman of the team’s executive committee. Happy Birthday, Henry!
 
Last week, Indiana’s First Dog, Henry Holcomb, celebrated a milestone birthday – he’s now 10 years old!

And of course, Henry was pretty pupular on his birthday, receiving a greeting from other dogs and their humans across the state. Check out those happy birthday wishes here, and read this story that ran last Friday on the front page of the Times of Northwest Indiana!
