Friend, I’m simply overwhelmed.

This week, 170 members of the Waterkeeper community stepped forward to defend clean water, surpassing our Giving Tuesday matching gift goal.

These funds, every dollar of which were matched, are more than simply dollars and cents. Every gift is a signal to me and every single member of the Waterkeeper Alliance team that you’re with us in the fight for clean water — and you’re ready for an ambitious year ahead.

But before we once again get to work, I wanted to write simply to say thank you, from myself and everyone here at Waterkeeper!

As Waterkeeper’s Deputy Director, I lead our fundraising efforts. In other words, it’s my charge to make sure that our team has the resources it needs to fight polluters in courtrooms and halls of power — even to set sail in pursuit of law-breakers.

That’s why this resounding Giving Tuesday success means SO much to me.

Because I’ve seen what we can accomplish together, with activists like you. And I know that 2021 will be our most ambitious, successful year yet.

It’s all because of you, Friend.

So I hope you’ll let me repeat myself once more and say thank you, thank you, thank you.

To clean water!

Mary Beth Postman
Deputy Director
