Lots of people, not even native to the area want the Vance Monument gone - the rabble rousers, black lives natter, our county manager and lots of groups that I can't call their names right now. The commissioners are having a meeting next Monday the 7th at five o'clock and we need speakers to comment. You are not required to go there to speak.
You will need to list your name, email address, phone number and where you live. You will be notified by email that you are registered to speak during the meeting, not in person but by phone. I guess they have the phone on a speaker. You have 3 minutes to speak. Of course, they will call you when it is your turn to speak. These people want to tear it down, not just change the name.
You will need to sign up by three o'clock Monday, December 7th. Please do this and pass my message on to as many people as you can. Let's save the Vance Monument. Peggy Bennett
