Friend,
It’s hard to convey over email how truly grateful I am for the support of our global community.
While so many of us are dealing with new realities created by this pandemic, thousands of you rose to the occasion and gave to make sure Doctors Without Borders teams can continue to provide lifesaving care to the world’s most vulnerable communities. Though much remains uncertain this year, you can be absolutely sure of this: The gifts made to MSF during Giving Tuesday will help save lives.
I’ll be transparent with you: 85 cents out of every dollar that’s given goes to keeping our medical operations and essential services running in more than 70 countries around the world, even in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. Your gifts ensure that patients impacted by HIV/AIDS, malnutrition, conflict, and so much more can still receive the quality health care they need.
And because we remain independent and impartial, your gifts allow us to continue to bear witness around the world and be a voice for those who may not be able to speak out for themselves.
Friend, the generous outpouring of support from this community reminds us that while the challenges we face during this difficult time are unprecedented, they are not insurmountable when we work together.
On behalf of MSF teams on the ground and the communities we serve: Thank you.
