Team,
This week, the House is set to vote on a landmark bill to federally decriminalize cannabis and expunge non-violent convictions for cannabis offenses -- and it's expected to pass.
Less than two years ago, that sentence would have been unbelievable. But Democrats and Republicans alike are now embracing once-taboo solutions like passing this necessary cannabis legislation and raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour, which the House approved last year. And that's only because of organizing. Grassroots organizers have successfully advocated for bold policies that address the economic and racial disparities that plague our country.
But when you push power, power pushes back -- and lobbyists and their corporate partners have spent millions upon millions to crush these policies. Instead of taking the easy route and backing down or accepting criticism of progressive ideas as "unrealistic," organizers kept pushing, knowing they would one day prevail.
And that's why I know that despite the constant pushback against the policies that matter most to our movement -- from student debt cancellation to Medicare for All to reinvesting money from police and defense budgets into our communities -- we can transform our cries for justice into successful legislation if we refuse to let up in our fight.
Our campaign will always reject donations from corporate PACs. Motivated by greed, they have worked overtime to deny us people-first policies. So we turn to supporters like you to fund our organizing efforts as we fight alongside local organizations on the ground and in Congress.
Will you chip in to support our organizing work to make our bold, transformative ideas a reality?

Thank you for being part of our movement for progress.
In solidarity,
