Join the Fight in Georgia

Republicans David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler are fighting to keep their Senate seats in the Georgia runoff elections on January 5. The GOP majority in the Senate depends on their success. If Republicans hold 52 seats in the Senate, the Senate could put a brake on radical Joe Biden administration personnel nominations and on “progressive” legislation coming out of the Democrat-controlled House.

Jonathan Tobin describes what will happen if these Republican fighters lose <[link removed]>:

Unified control of the government—and specifically, control of the Senate—will potentially enable the Democrats to tick off a number of ideas on the “To Do” list of their grassroots activists. That would include abolishing the filibuster for legislation, expanding the number of justices on the US Supreme Court so as to pack it with liberals, admitting the District of Columbia and maybe even Puerto Rico as states so as to increase the number of Democratic senators and passing radical proposals like the “Green New Deal.”

That means that the outcome of the two Senate races will arguably determine whether or not the US government is fundamentally transformed. By contrast, if either or both of the Republicans win, the GOP will retain its Senate majority, and Americans will once again have divided government. That will mean that both parties will be forced to compromise to accomplish anything or, as is just as if not more likely, the increasingly bitter partisan deadlock will ensure that nothing gets done at all.

Perdue and Loeffler are being challenged by leftist idealogues Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock, respectively.

Ossoff has welcomed the endorsement and support <[link removed]> of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT), an indicator of where he falls on the political spectrum.

Warnock has a long history of radical statements and actions. Henry Olsen, writing at the Washington Post, describes him this way <[link removed]>:

He genuinely believes that America is a fallen, corrupt nation, befouled by racism and besmirched by capitalism. He makes that crystal clear in his 2013 book, “The Divided Mind of the Black Church,” in which he praises Marxism and castigates “white capitalistic forces.” That’s the common thread that holds his writings and his sermons together, and no degree of eloquence or number of cute ads can disguise that fact.

One sees this most clearly in how he speaks about the man he labels as his mentor, the late James Hal Cone. Cone was a controversial Black theologian who labeled White Christians as racist and White Christianity as “the Antichrist” — that is, an evil ruler who corrupts the world.

Justice for a Terrorist

Top Iranian nuclear-weapon scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was assassinated just outside of Tehran on November 27. No one has claimed credit, but most analysts assume it was an Israeli operation <[link removed]>, like previous assassinations of Iranian nuclear scientists and the July 2020 attack on the centrifuge assembly plant at the main Natanz facility.

Fakhrizadeh was not only a brigadier general in the IRGC and a proscribed international terrorist, he was the founder and long-term director of the illegal Iranian nuclear weapons program that is controlled by the IRGC, as noted <[link removed]> by Col. Richard Kemp.

For the record, J Street opposed the assassination <[link removed]> of Fakhrizadeh, calling it an attempt to sabotage a Joe Biden administration’s ability to re-enter the Obama nuclear deal, the JCPOA.

Israel News

• The Czech Republic says it will open a diplomatic office in Jerusalem.  <[link removed]>

• Israel is set to officially open an embassy in Bahrain <[link removed]>.

• The Israel Foreign Ministry believes that the Abraham Accords have opened the door for trilateral cooperation between Israel, the UAE, and Asian countries <[link removed]>, which could include collaboration in the areas of security, food, medicine, and agricultural technologies.

Thank you, President Trump!

More Wins to Celebrate

• AP reports <[link removed]> that "Iowa officials on Monday certified a Republican candidate as the winner by six votes of an open seat in the US House. Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks finished ahead of Democrat Rita Hart in Iowa’s 2nd Congressional District..." Her opponent has chosen to forgo further legal challenges in Iowa and instead will appeal directly to the US House of Representatives <[link removed]> to overturn the election result.

• Republican David Valadaowon his election to the US House in California's 21st Congressional District <[link removed]>. He reclaimed his seat from Democratic Rep. TJ Cox, who ousted Valadao two years ago by 862 votes. His victory marked the 13th flip of a House seat from blue to red <[link removed]> in this cycle. The RJC PAC endorsed all of the Republican candidates who flipped House seats.

• National Republican Congressional Committee Executive Director Parker Hamilton Polingtweeted out this good news <[link removed]>: “Not one single Republican incumbent lost re-election.”  Rep. Mike Garcia in CA-25 was the last Republican incumbent whose race was called.

• A record-setting 18 (for now) new women are joining the GOP ranks in Congress <[link removed]> next year, with one more leading a race in New York that hasn't been called yet.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, Prominent Antisemite

Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) has been on a roll lately. On “International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People” on Nov. 29, she retweeted an illustration captioned “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.” <[link removed]> She later deleted the tweet, but her message was clear.

The Free Beacon reports <[link removed]> that last weekend, Tlaib, along with Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Betty McCollum (D-MN), "headlined a conference run by one of the nation's most prolific anti-Israel advocacy groups, lending their support to an organization that champions boycotts of Israel and has partnered with individuals tied to terrorism."

And coming up, Tlaib will be featured in the most ironic event of 2020 on December 15, when she will participate in a panel discussion of antisemitism that is hosted by the left-wing, anti-Israel NGO Jewish Voice for Peace <[link removed]> (JVP), IfNotNow, and other radical organizations, and that includes only anti-Israel, antisemitic voices.

Why Iran Is Getting the Bomb <[link removed]>

Lee Smith’s must-read article warns that the former Obama officials in a potential Joe Biden administration will go right back to the Obama Iran nuclear deal, in pursuit of the Obama worldview that subjugates American national security to a vision of a global utopia.
