10 reasons not to shop Amazon

Friend,

This is peak season for Amazon. Big increases in purchases means greater pollution from Amazon and warehouse workers are at even greater risk of injury.

Amazon is customer obsessed so let’s use it to our advantage. This holiday shopping season:

  1. Take our action telling Amazon to respect workers and the planet!
  2. Shop from Amazon alternatives and support small, green businesses. Small businesses everywhere are struggling during the pandemic, while Amazon is raking in huge profits. Support small businesses and shop local when possible.
  3. Use Amazon as a search engine only. Search for the products you need on Amazon, but buy directly from the seller. That way the business (rather than Amazon) gets the profits.
  4. Skip the heavy items and don’t rush delivery. If you end up ordering from Amazon, lighten the load for workers. When possible, buy your heavy items elsewhere and skip the 2-day (or 1-day) shipping.
  5. Reach out to Amazon directly to share your concerns. Contact Amazon over social media or call their customer service line directly: (888) 280-4331.

When customers speak, even the largest companies listen.

Whether you skip Amazon completely this holiday season or if you need to utilize its convenience, take action to support workers and the climate!

Thank you for all that you do,

Charlotte
