The Center for Reproductive Rights

There's no time to waste, we'll get right to it: we are litigating more than 30 vital cases in over a dozen states across the country.

Despite constitutional protections for reproductive rights, anti-abortion lawmakers across the country have doubled down on their efforts to eliminate access outright at the expense of our health. Since 2011, states have passed more than 450 laws restricting abortion—and there are no signs they're slowing down.

Will you stand with us against this onslaught of attacks? A group of longtime Center supporters is still matching every gift made through midnight on December 31—up to $125,000—to make your contribution go TWICE as far. Please make a tax-deductible gift today to help us take on whatever our opponents throw at us.

DOUBLE MY IMPACT

Here's just some of what's on our docket going into 2021:

  • In our case challenging a Mississippi law banning abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy, we already successfully blocked the ban in the lower courts as unconstitutional under Roe v. Wade. The state has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case.

  • We're continuing our battle against a Trump administration rule that would empower an immensely broad array of health care workers, including receptionists and ambulance drivers, to turn away and refuse to serve patients based on the worker's individual moral or religious beliefs. Patients seeking services like contraception, abortion, or gender-affirming care would be most impacted by the rule.

  • In Georgia, we've challenged a ban on abortion at as early as six weeks of pregnancy. A lower court struck down the law in July of this year, and the state appealed the decision to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, where we are defending our win.

  • Earlier this fall, we filed a case challenging a Tennessee law that forces doctors to provide false and misleading information to their patients about the potential to "reverse" a medication abortion—an unproven and politically-motivated claim that has no basis in medical research.

With you by our side, we will continue to take states to court whenever necessary to ensure that everyone, no matter where they live, has access to the reproductive care they need and deserve. Are you with us? Make a gift right now and it will be DOUBLED instantly to support this critical work.
