Brookline, Massachusetts – The town passed a change to its bylaws to prohibit the sale of tobacco products to anyone born after January 1, 2000.

California – A coalition representing the tobacco industry said it turned in more than 1 million signatures as it seeks to qualify a referendum for the November 2022 ballot aimed at overturning a law banning the sale of flavored tobacco products.

San Diego County, California – The Board of Supervisors passed an ordinance that revises its flavor law to ban the sale of flavored smokeless tobacco products, exempt loose-leaf tobacco and premium cigars and ban the sale of tobacco products in pharmacies, among other provisions. It will only apply to unincorporated areas of the county.
