​Today, I was proud to support my friend Rosa DeLauro, Congresswoman for Connecticut's Third District, as she was elected the new Chair of the House Appropriations Committee.

With Rosa DeLauro as the next Chair of Appropriations, Connecticut and New England have the opportunity to receive our fair share of funding to improve and update our infrastructure, upgrade our schools and help working families. I know Rosa and there is no fiercer advocate for women, children and working families who is ready to reach across the aisle to get things done for the American people.

With new leadership in place, we will work to repair our economy and restore our nation with a bold legislative agenda in the new Congress. I'm looking forward to working alongside Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Rosa DeLauro to fund priorities and deliver more coronavirus relief.
