December 10th is Get Covered America Day
Dear LULAC Familia:
Please know that we stand together during the COVID-19 pandemic as we always have. Juntos somos mas fuertes. Nothing matters more right now than staying healthy and having health insurance coverage. This is why I am reaching out to all our members in California to ask for your help to raise awareness on this life and death matter.
LULAC has joined a new national coalition called Get Covered 2021. This is a non-partisan push to bring Americans together. We need to promote and expand the tools for more coverage. Our only focus is improving people’s health, fighting COVID-19, and providing access to coverage.
You can help:
- Get the word out on social media – Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. Your voice encouraging friends, family members, neighbors and others in your community means a lot. Encourage them to keep COVID safe and to send anyone they know who is uninsured to GetCovered2021.org to see if they can get financial help to pay for health insurance and encourage them to enroll now. You can find other tips and a Digital Toolkit you can use.
- December 10th is Get Covered America Day, a nationwide day of action when people from all walks of life will come together to promote practical steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and help uninsured Americans get enrolled now. Share your story or support on social media with #GetCovered2021. Please encourage your uninsured loved ones to visit GetCovered2021.org to find the affordable health insurance that’s best for them. And we encourage you to keep sharing these messages throughout December.
Thank you for your LULAC work and commitment to keep Latino communities healthy and cared for. Please be safe and well.
Sincerely,
Sindy Benavides LULAC National Chief Executive Officer
