John -

Like many of you, I believe Biden's Cabinet appointments should have a record of supporting clean energy and climate justice. At the very least, they should not have profited from fossil fuel money.

But while this choice is obvious to you and me, for Biden, it's complicated.

So before another Cabinet selection is made, we put together a Cabinet Climate Test to show Biden exactly the standards (and promises) his administration must uphold when making selections:

Can you take two minutes to co-sponsor the Cabinet Climate Test? Here's the test that Biden's appointments must pass:

Cabinet Climate Test:

No nominees who have profited from fossil fuel money.

Nominees who have a record of supporting clean energy and climate justice.

Nominees who have taken action to keep fossil fuels in the ground by opposing new coal, oil, and gas projects.

Nominees who have a record of supporting corporate accountability.

Nominees who have a record of advocating for policies at the intersection of climate and other social justice issues like racial, gender, class, and immigration justice.

SIGN ON NOW →

Already, Biden's Administration has appointed fossil fuel industry allies like Rep. Cedric Richmond to lead the White House Office of Public Engagement. Rep. Richmond has received more than $300,000 from fossil fuel industry donors and lobbyists.

That is outrageous, John.

But here's the good news: it's not too late to send a clear message to Biden that our movement, and our climate, are counting on an administration that believes in science, one that is prepared to boldly confront the climate crisis:

Please add your name today to co-sponsor the Cabinet Climate Test. Together, our movement will send a clear message to Biden that he must reject fossil fuel industry allies from his administration.

SIGN ON NOW →

Over the next few weeks, Joe Biden will continue making dozens of appointments that are going to shape his administration.

So now is the moment for our movement to be crystal clear: no fossil fuel allies in the Biden Administration. Zero.

Thanks for sounding off today.

In solidarity,
