News from Chrissy

Dear John,

I hope that this note finds you well. I’ve received a lot of questions over the last few weeks about the upcoming transition, ways to get involved, and how to get a job in the new administration. It can be daunting, I know. Thousands of jobs will be turning over so I wanted to provide our community with the resources to help explain how that works and, for those interested, how to apply. I hope you’ll take a look.

Federal Goverment Jobs

This is the official Federal Government hiring platform where open positions are listed year-round, not just when one administration transitions to another. You can explore available jobs here.

Build Back Better

This is the official transition website of the incoming Biden-Harris administration. Apply here if you have interest in political appointments.

The General Services Administration

This official transition page contains a wide variety of resources for those curious about the transition and interested in positions with the incoming government.

The Plum Book

This resource is a list of over 7,000 civil service leadership and support positions in both the legislative and executive branches of the Federal Government. Though the 2020 Plum Book is not yet available, keep an eye on the GSA’s official web page for its release.
