The Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement (MORE) Act is the most comprehensive and most progressive marijuana reform bill ever introduced in Congress. Co-sponsored in the Senate by vice president-elect Kamala Harris, the MORE Act is backed by a broad coalition of civil rights, criminal justice, drug policy, and immigration groups.
After years of work, the bill will finally get a vote in the full House on Friday, and I need your help.

Here’s what my bill — which is popular amongst voters across the political spectrum — would do:
- Provide much-needed relief to the communities that have been ravaged by the racist enforcement of marijuana prohibition.
- Remove marijuana from the Controlled Substances Act, which decriminalizes it at the federal level and enables states to set their own policies, paving the way for medical research.
- The existing state-legal marijuana industry will finally be able to access financial services and standard tax treatment available to all legal businesses.
- Provides a roadmap for states to legalize marijuana in a just and equitable way.
