Friends,

Very soon, I’m going to take the stage for our first statewide debate. While I’m up there, I plan to talk about the 450,000 working Louisianans who have gotten health care since I've been Governor, the thousands of teachers who have gotten their first pay raise in a decade, and the hundreds of businesses that have chosen Louisiana and helped our economy grow.

My opponents won’t talk about any of that. They’ll talk about how they want to take us back to four years ago, when the state was in a ditch and facing a $2 billion budget deficit because of Bobby Jindal.

We have to show them that Louisiana doesn’t want to go backward, we want to keep moving in the right direction.
