There's a method to this madness. Partisan politicians benefit from undemocratic election processes because it allows political parties with unpopular views to be undemocratically overrepresented in our governments.
If these past elections were rigged -- it's because the president's party actively obstructed attempts to make elections safe, fair, and accessible during a pandemic. And they could do so, thanks to the power they've gained due to gerrymandering.
While Donald Trump may be on his way out of the White House, his enablers in Congress and in state legislatures all across the country will still be there long after he's gone and most importantly -- during the 2021 redistricting process.
