NPR: "Congress had given the Treasury Department $454 billion in the spring ... Much of that money had remained untapped, and, in theory, could have been used by the Biden administration. But by ordering the Fed to return the money, the Trump administration is essentially tying the incoming administration's hands."
Trump is doing everything he can to stop Joe Biden from being able to provide relief to the American people. But instead of encouraging division, Biden is calling for compromise, saying: "Refusal of Democrats, Republicans to cooperate with one another is not due to some mysterious force beyond our control. It's a conscious decision. It's a choice that we make. If we can decide not to cooperate, we could decide to cooperate."
We agree. But Congress doesn't care what the president says (we've seen enough evidence of that). Congress cares what the American people say -- because the American people will decide whether or not they keep their jobs.
