With your support, Urgent Action Fund has been standing with women’s human rights defenders in the fight for reproductive justice throughout our 23-year history. We know that low-income women and women of color are most affected by restricted access to abortion. We also know, as is so often the case right-wing governments and their policies target women in ways that are intentionally cruel and take away a woman’s right to choose what is best for their body, family and community.    

Meanwhile, the grassroots activists we fund are enacting responses to key moments of advocacy in places where messaging matters. In the U.S., our grantee Abortion Access Front is working in the election battle ground of the Midwestern states, using pop culture, social media, humor, and outrage to destigmatize abortion and engage advocates for reproductive justice. 
 
In Poland, UAF grantee Federation for Women and Family Planning is fighting today to protect the rights of thousands of women when doctors refuse to prescribe contraceptives or refer them to prenatal screening and legal abortions.
