Another day, another shameful attack on our state by a sitting president.

The Trump Administration just announced it will REVOKE California’s authority to limit tailpipe emissions in our own state.

As you may know, Californians have spent decades working to reduce smog and pollution in our state — it’s a fight that dates back to the 1950s. I’m old enough to remember the routine smog alerts that kept kids in classrooms and people off the sidewalks. It was a full-blown public health crisis.

It’s important to remember that when Californians came together to implement stricter standards on auto emissions, Ronald Reagan was our Governor at the time. This move by the president is literally undoing decades of good, bipartisan work on this issue.

And as evidence continues to prove that pollutants generated by fossil fuel emissions are causing serious damage to our planet, Trump would rather play politics with our lives. It’s totally disgraceful.

John, we’re going to fight this -- in the courts, in the statehouse, and I’m doing everything I can to reverse this decision in Congress. But I’m going toe-to-toe Tump and the fossil fuel industry and I’ll need your support:
