Hello —
Today, Mark Kelly was sworn in as the newest United States Senator from Arizona. I look forward to working with Mark as we fight to do right by the people we were elected to serve.
Mark faced a tough election battle this year. Republicans flung everything from vicious attack ads to millions in outside spending to defeat him, but thanks to an abundance of grassroots support, Mark flipped Arizona’s Senate seat for Democrats.
You may not know this, but Mark won a special election. That’s why he’s officially joining the Senate today and why he will face re-election again next cycle — meaning he doesn’t have a whole lot of time before he has to get back on the campaign trail.
As the only Senate Democrat who had to run back-to-back elections in 2018 and 2020, I know a thing or two about hitting the ground running right out of the gate.
Mark will need all the help he can get from folks like us on day one. Republicans will do and spend just about anything to flip this seat back, which means Mark will need to be prepared for the worst. So I’m asking:
Will you welcome Mark Kelly to the Senate by splitting a donation between our campaigns today? Grassroots supporters (just like you!) helped Mark flip Arizona’s Senate seat last month, and he will need a people-powered campaign to win back-to-back. That’s why anything you can give is so important today.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be automatically split between Mark Kelly and Tina Smith:
