It's a key lesson, and one of the first things I tell folks when they're just getting started in activism and organizing: the work doesn't end on Election Day. That's when it starts.
Over the past few months, the #Fight4HER campaign mounted a huge Get Out the Vote Effort, reached thousands of voters, and worked relentlessly to elect champions who will fight for global reproductive health care access. We won some huge victories (say hello to President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris). We lost some close races. We worked our tails off.
And now, after all that, it's time to get to work turning electoral results into real-world change. Join us on Thursday at 7pm ET / 4pm PT for a celebratory national call about what comes next.
Sign up now to participate and join us for:
- Celebrating our incredible GOTV effort, and electoral wins!
- An inside look at what the #Fight4HER campaign will be asking of the new Congress.
- Solidarity, community, and opportunities to get involved in creating real change.
These volunteer calls have been a lifeline for me throughout this difficult year—a chance to stay connected, motivated, and involved with the fights that matter most. If you've joined one of our past virtual gatherings, you know how useful they can be, and I hope you'll join us again. And if this is your first time, we're so glad to have you join us.
This election was a long, exhausting fight. And thanks to the extraordinary effort of people like you, we've created the opportunity to finally make the kind of progress that's been held back for four long years. Now, it's up to us to seize that opportunity and make the most of it.
Join us on Thursday to be a part of what comes next.
In solidarity,
