Town hall with Rep Pocan, activists, and health care workers in Palestine

Dear Supporter,

Tomorrow, along with our partners at Rebuilding Alliance, we are hosting a virtual town hall featuring Congressman Mark Pocan, as well as community members and organizers who are directly impacted on the ground in Palestine. The town hall is about stopping demolitions in the West Bank and mobilizing against COVID-19 in Gaza.

Please join us and help spread the word!

  • When: 10:30 am EST, Thursday, December 3, 2020
  • Where: Live on Facebook or YouTube

Speakers:

  • Eid Jahalin, Spokesperson for Khan al Ahmar, a Bedouin village facing imminent demolition;
  • Alon Cohen-Lifschitz, Area C Planner from Bimkom: Planners for Planning Rights, who has been working with Khan al Ahmar to develop the village's zoning plan;
  • Dr. Ahmed Mhanna, General Director of the NGO Al Awda Hospital, the 2nd largest in Gaza; and
  • Dr. Yasser Abu Jamei, Executive Director of the NGO Gaza Community Mental Health Programme.

Congressman Pocan is one of our greatest Congressional champions of Palestinian rights. In February, he co-led a congressional letter with 31 co-signers to Secretary of State Pompeo to restore humanitarian aid to Palestine, and recently he led another letter to stop Israel’s home demolitions in the West Bank. We are grateful for his leadership and grateful to our partners in Palestine who are making time to tell us about the dire reality of the situation they face.

Please tune in and share the event with your friends.

Sincerely,

Raed Jarrar
Advocacy Director
