Wow, John. Hundreds of immigrant rights supporters like you came together yesterday on Giving Tuesday to donate to the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), providing more than 23 families with legal services that help them be safe and stay together!

With an immigration lawyer, families can achieve the stability that comes along with permanent legal status, work authorization to provide for their family, and the ability to live safely and together. During my 16 years as a lawyer with NIJC, I have seen thousands of families move towards stability and a hopeful future after receiving NIJC’s legal services.

Your support is inspiring. THANK YOU.

We're also very grateful to our friends, Marj Lundy and Jamie Godshalk and Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg LLP, for their generous matching gifts.

Keep the momentum going!

Join us and the Defund Hate Coalition today at 2:00 p.m. CT for a conversation with leaders of several Black-led organizations about the impacts of the U.S. detention and deportation machine on Black immigrants. Register here and tune into NIJC's Facebook page at 2:00 p.m. CT today to join the conversation.

You can also take action and urge your members of Congress to cut funding that enables U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to separate families, harm asylum seekers at our borders, and abuse people in immigration jails. We believe every person should be treated with dignity and respect, yet the federal government wastes more than $25 billion each year on jailing, abusing, and deporting immigrants. Instead, we should invest our tax dollars in health care, education, housing, and other vital programs that benefit all of us. Take action: tell your members of Congress to cut funding for jailing and deporting our immigrant neighbors!

Thank you again for standing with immigrant families.

P.S. If you didn't get a chance to participate yesterday, there's still time! You can still give to help even more families at www.immigrantjustice.org/givingtuesday!
