Friend,
This year continues to be difficult. Over the last 30 days we’ve seen in New York City alone an increase in our positivity rates, more unfortunate deaths, and the closing of our schools. On top of this, the city’s unemployment rate is still above 10%.
There’s no immediate relief, but we continue to come together. In spite of failed leadership and inaction at all levels, we take care of each other.
We don’t want to forget those we have lost. Those we have lost to racial injustice, the coronavirus pandemic, hate crimes, drug addiction, or the inability to afford basic human needs. We must continue to fight for, think of, and remember those who need help.
Our community is here for you. If you need help or are looking to help your neighbors please visit: https://mutualaid.nyc/
If you need to talk to someone please reach out to NY Project Hope Emotional Support Helpline: 1-844-863-9314.
If you have a hate crime to report please call 1-888-440-HATE.
It’s okay to not be okay, and we are here to support our neighbors.
