7:00 PM EST
Celebrate with us virtually! ([link removed])
------------------------------------------------------------

Tomorrow, join us for the American Courage Awards ([link removed]) ! For this year's ceremony, we are presenting a new event format rather than our traditional programming. Of special focus will be our call-to-action on the spike of anti-Asian and anti-Asian American sentiment as a result of the pandemic, the Black Lives Matter movement, and our ongoing efforts in delivering on our mission.

In addition to our dynamic co-emcees Vicky Nguyen and Cary Chow, we're excited to announce a remarkable line-up of speakers that is made up of leaders in Congress and civil rights icons:
* Keynote: The Honorable Eric H. Holder, Jr.
* Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-27)
* Congresswoman Grace Meng (NY-06)
* Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (WA-07)
* Helen Zia, Author and Activist
* Thomas A. Saenz, Esq., President and General Counsel, Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund
* Sherrilyn Ifill, President and Director Counsel, NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund
* Vanita Gupta, President and CEO, The Leadership Conference on Civil & Human Rights
* Kal Penn, Actor, Writer, Producer

Make Our Signature Cocktail:
"It's Always Sunny When You're Advancing Justice"
During the event, guest bartender Hung Nguyen, joined by our staff member Marie Nguyen, will show you how to make our official cocktail of the 2020 American Courage Awards, "It's Always Sunny When You're Advancing Justice," a version of a tequila sunrise. The shopping list is in the image below and you can also make a non-alcoholic version. You can also substitute the tequila with vodka, gin, or rum if you prefer.

Get the ingredients you need in advance, and sit back and enjoy the show! We'd love to see if you make the drink. Tag us on Twitter or Facebook and use the hashtag #AmericanCourageAwards.
