Dear
SPUC supporter,
The Government has launched a public consultation on whether dangerous DIY abortions should be made permanent. This consultation relates to England only.
The DIY abortion scheme was introduced in March 2020 as a temporary measure due to the COVID -19 pandemic. Under the scheme both doses of abortion pills are sent to women through the post after a phone call with an abortion provider.
Send a strong message to the Government that DIY abortions must stop now.
Please make a submission
Please make a submission to the Department of Health and Social Care. SPUC's briefing is here.
If you need any further help you can call Katherine Hampton on 01892 542616. Please don't hesitate to call her.
Important meeting in Parliament
SPUC is supporting an important meeting in Parliament on Thursday 10 December 2020. The meeting has been organised by Christian Concern. The meeting will include a presentation on a mystery shopper investigation which uncovered the way in which BPAS and Marie Stopes UK sent out abortion pills to women who all gave false names and many of whom gave medical details which meant they were not eligible for a medical abortion.
Please email your MP asking him/her to attend the meeting. You can cut and paste a template email for your MP here.
Please act now
It is vital that as many pro-life people as possible speak out now against DIY abortions by making a submission to the consultation.
We cannot stay silent at this critical moment in the fight to protect unborn babies and their mothers from the barbarity of DIY abortions.
With heartfelt thanks,
Antonia Tully
